Michael Mina!

Go for the food and return again and again for the exquisitely satisfying dining experience! The boys of Michael Mina – Borys Saciuk, Michael Judge & Mario are as charming, warm and gracious as can be ... and the Ahi Tuna Tartare at the bar, aka “Bar Tar,” is divine! Scotch bonnet pepper, pine nuts, Bosc pear and sesame oil combine to create one of the most amazing sensory experiences I've ever had in public! Add great champagnes by the glass, or the ginger pepper pear champagne cocktail by Borys, and it's a recipe for heaven on earth, in my book.

Borys Saciuk, the lead bartender, is as four-star as they come. Borys is knowledgeable about wine, savvy about his spirits, and even better ... he's smart and funny and has a great bar-side manner!

Hog Island Oyster Company

Located in the Ferry Building, on the water, this is an excellent place for oysters, especially delicious little Kumamotos!, and clam chowder, served like steamers and with abundant amount of cream!

The service was great ... Nancy and her team were attentive and friendly. Bob Marley songs complimented the Stoelzle stemware. Brut rose champagne from Markus Altenburger in Austria was delightful as well.

Hog Island Oyster Company is the San Francisco oyster bar and retail outlet for the Tomales Bay oyster farm of the same name – and provides the same impeccably fresh oysters. The menu offers an assortment of raw oysters on the half-shell, a traditional oyster stew, steamed clams and clam chowder – along with beer, wine, and champagne. Fresh oysters and clams are available to take home certain days of the week.

In 1983, Hog Island began farming oysters in the tiny hamlet of Marshall on scenic coast Highway One.

Le Garage Restaurant, Sausalito

I had the most delicious meal with my friend Barbara last night in Sausalito! My passionate foodie, eating-as-sport friend Greg, recommended this amazing spot.

We loved the Foie Gras confit rubbed with sweet spices and served with brioche, the black mission fig and pistachio salad, and especially the yummy Mussels du Mistral with aïoli, shallots, saffron and white wine! The Tarte Tatin dessert was divine as well.

Our waiter, Kamel from Lyon, dressed in a mechanic-style shirt, expertly suggested a glass of Sauternes with the foie gras, and Sancerre with the mussels, along with pommes frites, mais oui!

The service was excellent and polished and with the view of the boats and the water, it was an extremely satisfying dining adventure! I highly recommend it!
